Hello! I'm excited to start another year at FMS! I love meeting my students and seeing brothers, sisters, and family members of former students! I also enjoy working with National Junior Honor Society - a great group of students! This year Allen ISD has adopted SpringBoard, a new English textbook published by the college board. The structure and framework integrate reading and writing in lessons that will benefit and challenge all students. Students do have an individual log in for the on-line book. On-going assignments during the school year: 1. Creative Memories- monthly writing assignment: Students select something each month and write a descriptive paragraph, including who, what, when, where, why, how, and sensory details. The assignment must be illustrated with authentic memorabilia. It may be completed as a scrapbook or as a word document. 2. Independent Reading: Students are encouraged to select and read current novel selections.
