My name is Trina Brown I entered the field of Education with a history of Retail Management that has given me a great deal of experience in problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork and training teams.
With four years in the PAS (Positive Attitudes for Success) Program at the Lowery Freshman Center, I have used various techniques such as individualized instruction, problem-solving assignments, small-group work, and supportive exercises involving music, art, exercise and relaxation techniques to promote learning, improve self-understanding, self-esteem, and self-control. The assessment and systematic teaching of social skills through modeling, discussion, and role-play were frequently used to help students increase control over their behavior, develop positive relations with others, and improve their academic performance in the classroom.
My journey over the past few years have been both challenging and rewarding. I wouldn’t change one minute of it. I want to personally welcome each of you (CLASS of 2016) to your first year in high school. |
