I am the Campus Intervention Specialist (CIS) at Olson and love being a part of this wonderful Olson Team! The role of the CIS is to gather and analyze data, coordinate intervention through the Student Success Initiative (SSI) and Response to Intervention (RTI), coordinate and facilitate SIT and 504 meetings, and coordinate and provide the appropriate testing environment and materials for all local and state asssessments. It is my privilege to work hand in hand with our great staff as we strive to help students succeed academically and reach their fullest potential.
I am a native of Colorado, but my formal education and experience has taken place primarily in New Mexico and Texas. My 30 years of experience in education include 11 years in New Mexico, 7 years in McKinney ISD and now 12 years in Allen ISD! I have especially loved working in AISD at Bolin and Olson and am so excited to be starting my fourth year at Olson!!
Education includes a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech, a Master's Degree from The University of New Mexico, and too many trainings and workshops to count! Even so, my greatest learning has taken place while working with wonderful children and teachers.
It is my pleasure to serve as the CIS at Olson. If I can be of assistance, please call or e-mail!
