AHS Seniors Awarded $119,750 in Scholarships
“These high school seniors are amazing,” said Pam Toups, Vice President of Programs for the Foundation. “Every year we are more impressed with them – not just their strong academics but their dedication to their school and community, along with their humor and creativity. And what a blessing that we have so many very generous and caring families, businesses and PTAs who want to award college scholarships. It is such a thrill to be a part of this success!”
According to the teachers at both schools, this interaction "has undoubtedly impacted our students in a very positive way," said Martina Thompson, Spanish II teacher at Lowery. "From leadership to friendships, to pride and validation of the children's mother tongue and the language our students at Lowery are learning, these visits have resulted in so much more than we even hoped for!"
