Thank you for visiting! I, Xiomara I. Lord, am a native Spanish speaker born in the Republic of Panama.  My family consits of my husband, children, and 2 dogs. I have lived in Allen since 1993.

I started the Anderson traditions 15 years ago. I started as a parent volunteer and then became involved in PTA. While dedicating my time as a vounteer I decided to take on a part time position as a Cafeteria Monitor.  Shortly after I was offered a position in the school office as a part time SASI/Attendance Clerk. When a part time position opened in our Content Mastery Classroom I  took on the paraprofessional position there.  I've taught in
the Content Mastery Classroom, which is now known as the SSI Lab working closely with K-2 students in reading; and provided support to 3-6th grade teachers and students for 5 years. While working at Anderson, I completed my Bachelor's Degree at UTD Dallas, and then completed my certification thru Region 10. I then moved on to teach 3rd Grade, and have taught it for the past 5 years. While I have loved teaching 3rd Grade here at Andeson, I am taking this opportunity to grow professionally. I am truly excited to be given the opportunity to teach 5th Grade Science this year.

I am always excited to work with such a wonderful team of dedicated educators; this is what truly makes Anderson Elementary such a great school to work for. We at Anderson strive for the "No Child Left Behind" clause; and we nurture, love, and build strong minds.

Your children and my "Inquisitive Explorers" will have a successful and productive "WILD ABOUT LEARNING" year.
