ENRICHMENT CLASSES

DESTINATION IMAGINATION
Green students compete in the Destination Imagination Competetion in the spring of each year. The students prepare presentations and projects in response to problems involving critical thinking skills. The project also includes a spontaneous thinking competition which students prepare for in Green University classes.

GREEN SCIENCE FAIR
Students at Green Elementary have the opportunity to be participants in the Science Fair. Students may enter a project as an individual or group of no more than three students in grades 1-6. The projects are completed in February and three winners from Green will go on and compete in the Regional Science Fair in March. Official rules and guidelines are available from Mrs. Robinson.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICAL GEOGRAPHY BEE
For the tenth year, the National Geographical Society held the National Geography Bee for students in the fourth through the eighth grades in thousands of schools across the United States, the District of Columbia and five US territories as well as Department of Defense Dependent Schools around the world. The first place winner will advance to the next level of competition, a written examination. All school winners are eligible to win the national championship and its first prize, a $25,000 college scholarship at the national competition in Washington D.C.
