SPEECH/LANGUAGE THERAPY
The Speech-Language Therapy program provides specialized services for students who have a communication disorder in the areas of Articulation, Fluency, and Language Development. Students work on processing skills to develop and increase discrimination and production abilities. Students learn and practice these skills through a variety of activities. The aim of the program is for the students to internalize the appropriate Speech and Language skill so that the impairment does not negatively impact their educational performance. The Speech Therapist is also a resource for the regular classroom teacher, providing lessons and reinforcement activities to address the needs of the class.
