Plays
The Theatre Department sponsors several plays each year. The productions provide opportunities for students to perform on stage and to work behind the scenes on sets, sound, and light. The fall presentation is often a collection of skits and lip-syncs. The spring play is sometimes a comedy. Theatre students participate in the annual UIL one-act play competition in the spring. In addition, students audition for and participate in a talent show each year where they play musical instruments, sing, dance, rap, and perform skits.
Some performances are at night so that families can come. Some are at school during the day so that students who can't come in the evening won't miss the fun.
The choir also presents a musical play either at Christmas or at the end of the year. For the last several years their production has been a dinner theatre where the audience enjoys a meal served by the choir members before the performance.
