Electives

Most elective courses are project-based, which means the students have enough time during class to finish their work. If a student does not finish their work, then the student can come for tutoring to finish their work. The exceptions to this are French and Spanish. Students receive high school credit for these courses, and they do have regular homework assignments which students will finish outside of class time.

In preparation for next year, we encourage incoming 7th graders to work on their typing skills. The minimum goal for the beginning of the 7th grade year is 16 words per minute, with 95% accuracy. Free online typing programs can be found on Mr. Byers" website, under "Intro to Business".
