In August of 2011, AHS opened the Career and Technical Education center featuring "Blu' Community Bistro" a student-managed restaurant open to the public, "Eagle Edge" a student-managed retail store with student designed items, multiple new Mac labs, Mac-equipped rooms for the photojournalism, yearbook, commercial photography, newspaper and broadcast classes as well as learning-classrooms for the medical and veterinary education programs.
Enables students to obtain information that can be used as a basis of making choices regarding future jobs.
Provides students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning into work place experiences.
Helps students choose appropriate college classes.
CTE Dual Credit in techonology available through Collin College.
Students may test to earn industry standard certifications.
