In August of 2011, AHS opened the Career and Technical Education center featuring "Blu' Community Bistro" a student-managed restaurant open to the public, "Eagle Edge" a student-managed retail store with student designed items, multiple new Mac labs, Mac-equipped rooms for the photojournalism, yearbook, commercial photography, newspaper and broadcast classes as well as learning-classrooms for the medical and veterinary education programs.
 
Participation Benefits
  • Enables students to obtain information that can be used as a basis of making choices regarding future jobs.
  • Provides students the opportunity to integrate classroom learning into work place experiences.
  • Helps students choose appropriate college classes.
  • CTE Dual Credit in techonology available through Collin College.
  • Students may test to earn industry standard certifications.
