Eagle Academy Program - Non Discipline The Eagle Academy Program at the Dillard Center is a self-paced computer based program which enables students the ability to complete high school course work. Because course work is done only at school and time is limited, it is critical that students attend every day and stay on task so that graduation requirements can be met. When a course for graduation is taken at the Dillard Center Eagle Academy and completed with a grade of 80 or above, credit for that course will be placed on the student’s transcript with an indication that it is for credit through Eagle Academy. Eagle Academy classes are much like credit by exams or correspondence courses, therefore, the grades for these classes will not be considered for grade point average (GPA) or class rank for the student. This program is supported by counselors through the Child and Family Guidance Center of Dallas. The program is called Safety Net and the counselors meet with the students on an individual basis. Please see the "Resources" tab for more information on Safety Net. Cell phones are not allowed inside the Dillard Center. (See separate Electronic Devise Policy on this website) If your child is absent, please call the Dillard Center at 972-727-7163 between 7:45 - 8:00 am on the day of the absence. Upon return to Dillard, parents must provide a signed note explaining the reason for the absence and date of the absence. If the note is not received within 5 school days of the student returning to school, the absence will be marked unexcused. Last Modified on August 4, 2011
