Student Registration Process
Enrolling New Students
Parents enrolling their student for the first time should contact the school their child is zoned to attend or Student Services. You may utilize our School Locator to find the schools zoned for your residence. To register in Allen ISD, a student must live within the boundaries of Allen ISD and meet state age and health requirements. A child must be five years of age on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten and six years old on or before September 1 to enter first grade.
In addition to completing an Allen ISD registration packet, parents will need to provide the following documentation when registering a student:
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Social Security Number
- Immunization Records (immunization records MUST be complete for your child to be enrolled)
- Driver's License of parent/legal guardian
- Two of the following proofs of residency:- Closing Disclosure (if purchased after 10/1/15) or HUD settlement statement (if purchased prior to 10/1/15) or a Lease Agreement or Current Voter Registration Card showing address within the District's boundary AND- Utility deposit or bill (gas, electric, water or telephone) Note: Telephone bill mustbe home/residence land line with address detail. A cell phone bill does not meetthe standard.- Sworn Residency Affidavit (Campus Registrar will let you know if this is required)Previous school withdrawal form will be required if you have withdrawn during the academic year and are seeking to enroll your student in Allen ISD.
Registration packets for elementary students may be obtained from the front office of each elementary school and middle school during the school year or from the Allen ISD Administration Building during Summer. Contact the registrar at Allen High School (grades 10-12) at 972-727-0400 ext. 6405 or the registrar at the Lowery Freshman Center at 972-396-6975 ext. 4111 for enrollment procedures. Contact the Student Services Office at 972-727-7115 to verify eligibility if you have any questions.
Building Capacity (New Families Please Read)
Due to rapid enrollment growth in Allen, the enrollment numbers at some schools may exceed the building capacity in various grade levels. As you enroll your child in Allen ISD, please be aware that new students may be assigned to another school outside of their attendance area if enrollment capacity is reached at their home school. District transportation will be provided if applicable.
