    Registering your Board Members with PTA / Back to School Kits

    Please make sure board members are registered with Texas State PTA by going to the Texas PTA site.  This will update the National contact list also.  You can go into the site & update throughout the year.  Here is the National PTA site link.  
     
    We have recently found out that you will not need to request the Back to School Kits.  Please read the link for details.

  • Ethics / Conflict of Interest

    All PTAs need to make sure their boards understand the Ethics/Conflict of Interest Policy as provided by Texas PTA.  Please click on the link for more details.  Here is the Ethics/Conflict of Interest Form link that every board member needs to sign; check Bylaws as to whom keeps the copies.

    As far as Credential Cards:  Please remember to review the newly-adopted Policy on Local PTA Credential Card Distribution to confirm your voting delegate status.  All the local PTAs get cards based on their membership. So council officers need to get a card from their local PTA. The local PTA can either submit the names of those coming and that get a card in advance, or if they know they do not have more coming than cards allotted, they can just each get their card at check in.

  • Meeting Dates for 2013-2014 School Year

    The Allen Council of PTA meeting dates for the 2013-2014 school year are
    • September 18, 2013 (Wednesday)
    • November 20, 2012 (Wednesday)
    • January 15, 2013 (Wednesday)
    • March 26, 2013 (Wednesday)
    • May 21, 2013 (Wednesday)

    Location for this years meetings will be announced shortly.  They are usually held at Norton or Bolin.  

    General meetings begin at 11:30 am.  Lunch will be served at all meetings and if you plan to attend, you will need to RSVP to your PTA Council Rep or president.

  • 2012-2013 Allen Council PTA Scholarship Recipients

    Allen Council of PTAs awards scholarships to graduating seniors each year.  The funds raised from the Eagle Run in the Spring are the only source of income for these scholarships.  This year the Council was able to award $8,600 in funds to help the students in their quest for higher learning.  The scholarships were awarded to:
     

      Alik List - $1,600

      Julia Adams - $1,000

      Christian Brewer - $1,000

      Erica Diller - $1,000

      Kazandra Gabriel- $1,000

      James Havran - $1,000

      Anna Nevels - $1,000

      Erin Suddleson - $1,000

     Congratulations to these and all Class of 2013 Seniors!

  • Area 15 LOT Training

    Announcing dates for Area 15 LOT Training. For registration information, please contact Lisa Morgan.
     
    Online Registration will begin in the Summer, 2013.  We'll post it when the link is available.  It will cost $10 for the online course.
