  • Legislative Council Chair is Open

    Do you know anyone who is interested in helping the council fill the Legislative Chair position?  Please contact Latricia Smith at president@allenptacouncil.org.  With the Texas legislature going into session after the winter break, we are looking for someone who is able to report back to all Local PTAs & Council any upcoming legislative issues, attend School Board Meetings, help train the BASIC:  Legislative course, & other tasks.  Texas PTA Job Description Link for Local Legislative Chairs, this will give you an idea of the job.

  • Council Hosts Dillard Center Staff Breakfast

    Last week, the Council hosted a Staff Breakfast for the Dillard Center Staff to show everyone's appreciation for what they do.  They had a great Continental Breakfast with croissants, fruit, yogurt, granola, breakfast burritos, and more!  Thank you to the Dillard Staff!

     PTA CommYOUnity:  Backing a Better Future! The theme "Back the Future" centers on our belief that an investment in the education of Texas children is an investment in our communities' future.  Anyone can be a member of the PTA; that is anyone who wants to invest in our future.  Look for more details in the near future.

    If you didn't have the opportunity to take Leader Orientation in person, you can take it online to fulfill the bylaws requirement of taking the course. You will find Leader Orientation once you log into the Members section of the Texas PTA website under Notebook on the left-side banner or on this link.
