English 1 EOC Test
STAAR- EOC English 1 Exam at
Lowery Freshman Center
Tuesday, March 28 B-Day
This End-Of-Course exam is a graduation requirement for all students.
Students should arrive at Lowery at 8:00 a.m. on March 28th and go directly to their designated testing classrooms.
Students who normally report to AHS for 1st period should report to Lowery, not AHS, on March 28th.
Testing room assignments will be posted in the Lowery hallways by Tuesday, March 21st.
Students should bring their student ID, a book to read, several pencils, and a sack lunch (if they did not pre-order a lunch from the cafeteria) to their testing classroom.
This is a normal school day; therefore, all dress code and student ID processes will be in place. Students are encouraged to leave all electronic devices (including cell phones and smart watches)at home on March 28th, as their use is prohibited in the building during the English 1 EOC. Students are also encouraged to bring a light jacket (pillows and blankets should remain home) in the event that the testing room gets cool.
The English 1 End-Of-Course (EOC) Exam is a five-hour timed test. The English 1 EOC is required of all Lowery students. Due to the length of the English 1 EOC, only 8th period classes will meet on March 28th. Students with classes at AHS for 8th period will attend those classes at AHS.
We encourage students have a full night’s sleep and a nutritious breakfast before coming to school on a test day.
- No outside food/fast food can be brought in for students on March 28.
- Please do not take your son or daughter out of school for appointments on March 28.
- Please notify your child’s house office if your child will be absent on March 28.
