Voters Approve Bond Proposition
Allen ISD voters have approved the 2015 bond proposition based on results reported by the Collin County Elections Office with 100% of the precincts reporting. A total of 3,468 or 75.74% voted yes on the proposition. There were 1,111 or 24.26% school patrons who voted against the proposition.
The $272,580,000 bond proposal included construction of a new elementary school, a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) center for Allen High School, and a new Lowery Freshman Center. Campus renovations and additions, land purchases, technology and security upgrades were also part of the November 3, 2015 proposition.
