Allen High School and Lowery Freshman Center students are invited to apply for The Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC), a leadership opportunity for high school students in the 3rd Congressional District of Texas, to participate in an interactive learning experience and develop leadership skills. Participation in the CYAC offers students a unique opportunity to learn about the federal government, discuss public policy, and work with their federal representative while serving their community. The Allen ISD STEAM Center recently hosted a two-day STEAM girls camp for second- through seventh-grade girls. The camp was led by STEAM Center staff and Allen High School students in the STEAM Ambassador program. While at the camp, participants had an opportunity to engage in a variety of STEAM-centered activities and challenges.
Congratulations to Allen ISD Board Secretary Dr. Polly Montgomery. She earned the “Master Trustee” designation from the Leadership TASB program after completing a full year of training.
