
Allen High School’s Drone Teams recently won the Judge’s Coding Award while hosting the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation’s (REC) Southern U.S. Division Aerial Drone Competition.
The Marine Corps JROTC teams are:
Team AE-1 – Eli Adler, Ruby Vo, and Tawqir Quarishi
Team AE-2 –- Mats Wulf, Auni DeLeon, and Nathan Ho
The teams are led by Co-Captains, Eli Adler and Thomas Treece
The award recognizes the team with the most effective and consistent coding techniques used in the Autonomous Flight Mission, demonstrating a deep understanding of programming concepts and iterative problem-solving.
Sixteen teams competed at Allen High School in the Mission Gravity challenges. The competition fosters leadership, technical proficiency, and camaraderie through a structured, rules-based aerial drone challenge following the REC Foundation’s safety and operational standards.




Three Allen High School Students -- Lucas Wu, Jessie Wang, and Ian Roybal -- recently qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME)in the American Mathematics Competition (AMC).
Students who rank in the top 2.5 percent on the AMC 10 or in the top five percent on the AMC 12 high school examinations qualify for the next round of competitions which is the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME).
The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) is one of the largest, most respected competitions in the world. Today, more than 300,000 students in 50 states and over 30 countries take the AMC to bolster their confidence and passion for math. This year, Allen ISD had 157 students in eighth grade take the AMC 8 and 60 students from grades 9-12 participate in the AMC 10-12.

The Allen ISD Leadership Academy Class of 2025 recently met and toured the campuses at Anderson Early Childhood School and Ford Middle School. Members learned how Anderson serves Prekindergarten students. After a tour and background information, the class also heard from Ford students about their experiences and visions for the campus after renovations.

The Superintendent’s Snack Cart rolled through Ereckson Middle School recently. Dr. Bullock, Board members John Holley and Veronica Yost, Principal Harper, and staff handed out snacks to EMS staff to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.






The Allen Eagles Robotics team won honors at a February 28 district FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) held in Tomball, earning first- and fourth-place finishes and points for the state championship in April.
The Eagle Robotics Program also won the Sustainability Award for its work in the district and community. Thirty-four other Texas teams participated in the coral-reef-themed competition. Allen sent two 45-person robot teams and seven mentors to the contest.
The next FRC event will be set for March 21-22 at Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth.

Members of Allen ISD’s Silver Eagles visited Allen High School for a behind-the-scenes look at the AHS Theatre Department’s production of “Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief.” The Silver Eagles watched rehearsals and learned about how the students assemble a musical for the stage. The Allen ISD Leadership Academy recently toured the AISD Service Center, learning about the district's behind-the-scenes operations. They also visited Evans Elementary to explore the features and improvements of a fully renovated campus.
