We make each day successful.

We show our outstanding respect and make wise choices.

We are learning leaders that stay focused.

We are unique in our own special ways.

Best students, best staff, best school!

School Song:

We sing out loud and clear for our school Reed Owls.

For we are proud you hear of our school Reed Owls.

We work and learn and play

History & Namesake

Gene M. Reed, Jr.

Mr. Reed was a very active member of our Allen community especially when the activity involved working with young people. He loved children of all ages and eagerly supported the Allen Eagles. During his career, he taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math and social studies and also served as a grade school principal in the town of Tiogo in Grayson County.

Although he left the teaching profession, he remained very social in the community and continued his involvement with children including teaching a Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church of Allen for over 30 years. He was struck with multiple sclerosis in 1969, and although confined to a wheelchair, continued his support of the Allen ISD. Mr. Reed passed away on January 18, 1996.

As an added example of Mr. Reed's love for children, he left one of his most valued possessions, an autographed football from Roger Staubach, to our honored school.
