The Allen High School Cheer Team is gearing up for an unforgettable experience as they prepare to perform in the 98th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This achievement highlights the dedication, talent, and teamwork of 29 cheerleaders from Allen High School, who will proudly represent their school, the district, and the Allen community on a national stage.
Accompanied by their two coaches and many proud family members, the cheerleaders will march down Broadway in New York City alongside iconic parade characters, including Spider-Man, Disney’s Minnie Mouse, and Bluey. Their participation in this prestigious event places them among a select group of performers who will showcase their skills to millions of viewers nationwide.
“We are incredibly proud of our cheer team for earning this amazing opportunity,” said Coach Shawn Mosley. “Their hard work, dedication, and team spirit have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them represent Allen on such a grand stage.”
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a longstanding tradition, celebrated for its vibrant floats, massive balloons, and outstanding performances. The Allen cheerleaders will add their energy and enthusiasm to this event, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

In its fifth year, Eagle Give Day allows AHS Students to participate in more than 30 community service projects. About 3,400 students signed up for projects in 2023 including making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and mattresses for homeless shelters.

The Foundation For Allen Schools recently held a lively and informative appreciation luncheon in Allen ISD’s Professional Learning and Auxiliary Services building attended by almost 100 active donors.
The luncheon featured two educators, Allen High School instructor Annette Terry and Vaughan Elementary teacher Sydnie Collier discussing how generous grants from the Foundation facilitated key programs to benefit students. Ms. Terry explained the importance of the high school’s Mentor Teacher Program in promoting the highest quality education for students. Ms. Collier outlined how the “Math by the Book” program expanded and enhanced a love of math from kindergarten through the upper grades.
Additionally, Superintendent Dr. Robin Bullock and Chief Communications Officer David Hicks provided an update on the district’s state of schools. Foundation Board Member Tracy Walker provided closing remarks.
The Foundation For Allen Schools will fund 119 educational grants for the 2024-2025 school year in Allen ISD. Thousands of students and more than 300 teachers and staff will be involved. These grants total $216,000 and bring the Foundation’s funding of grants to $2.1 million to date thanks to generous contributions by its donors.
