Dear Ereckson Huskies Families,
The summer break is nearly over, and I am excited to serve as your child’s principal at Ereckson Middle School this year. The EMS team has a lot of great things planned for 2023-2024, and we’re looking forward to kicking it off on Thursday, August 10.
As we embark on this new school year, I wanted to inform you about a new change to our traffic patterns for drop-off and pick-up. These new traffic patterns were created by the City of Allen in response to concerns about the access for emergency responder vehicle on Tatum Drive.
Beginning with the first day of school, cars will not be allowed to access the Ereckson campus if they enter from McDermott. Instead, all traffic to the Ereckson campus must be made from Alma Drive onto Tatum. An attached map provides a visual demonstration of this new traffic pattern.
We understand that any change can bring about challenges, and it may take some time for everyone to become accustomed to the new pattern. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this time of adjustment, and encourage you to follow the new traffic flow guidelines and observe all safety precautions in place.
