With an A+ score and a No.1 ranking as the best school district in Collin County, Allen ISD continues to set the standard in educational excellence in the area and state, according to Niche.com.
Niche also ranked Allen ISD as the overall sixth-best district in Texas with the 12th-best teaching staff and 15th-place for best places to work. Out of 10,561 nationwide districts, Allen ISD ranked the 90th best district.
The rankings also placed Allen ISD as the Best Place to Teach and the Best Teachers in Collin County. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the district ranked as the Best Place to Teach, third place for Best Teachers, and the fourth Best District.
“It is gratifying to be recognized for the hard work and dedication of our outstanding employees,” said Dr. Robin Bullock, superintendent of Allen ISD. “Our teachers provide the best education a district can offer. They do this for the love of our students and their dedication to their profession and not for rankings or accolades.”
Niche.com compiles its listings from on-line surveys and reviews, state testing standards, and demographic data and ranks districts based on the results from across the United States.
Niche’s rankings for Allen ISD also include A+ rankings for Teachers, College Prep, Clubs and Activities, and Food. A or A- rankings were given for Academics, Diversity, Sports, Resources and Facilities, and Administration. Additionally, 20 of the district’s campuses achieved A+ or A rankings with two scoring Bs.
Students and parents agreed in responding to the Niche.com survey.
“My overall experience with Allen Independent School District has been positive,” according to one parent. “The district offers strong academic programs and a wide range of extracurricular activities. The facilities are well-maintained, and there’s a strong sense of community involvement, making it a great environment for learning and personal growth.”
A student echoed the district's commitment to quality education.
“During my time at Allen High School, I can say that I have gained a commendable number of experiences and achievements,” the student said. “The best parts were certainly the people; the staff are very friendly, and I feel welcome every time I arrive. Joining clubs are the best way to meet students in your community and create bonds.”
