Standard Response Protocol

The Allen Independent School District is committed to providing a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

In order to ensure that our schools are well prepared for an emergency, we work closely with various safety officials - police, fire, emergency medical services, and public health.

AISD has adopted a comprehensive plan called the Standard Response Protocol (SRP). This plan covers a wide variety of emergencies and serves as a guide that helps our staff and our public safety partners respond swiftly, should a crisis occur in our schools. This system is utilized to create common language and actions among staff, students, and first responders.

At the bottom of this page you will find a link to the handout that outlines the four action items of the Standard Response Protocol; Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter in Place. Your students are familiar with these terms and have participated in drills for all four parts of the protocol this year.

Should a school emergency occur, parents can get important information and direction from Allen ISD's website, Facebook, Twitter, and calls and emails will come to you via the SchoolMessenger Service.
