Peer Assistance and Leadership
Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL) is a peer mentoring and leadership program in which 9th grade students are trained to mentor individual students in K-6th grades, plan and participate in various campus events and charity projects, welcome new LFC students, and give campus tours to visitors. PALs undergo extensive peer-mentor training; learning to build trusting relationships with their PALees and understanding the guidelines of confidentiality. Peer mentors in the PAL program will further develop a positive self-concept, healthy relationships, personal responsibility, emotional intelligence, self- awareness, self-control, self- motivation and social skills. PALs are carefully selected by sponsors from applications, interviews, and teacher recommendations. PALs students sign contracts to stay drug free, maintain passing grades in all classes, and be a positive role model. PALS are required to have eight service hours per grading period. These service hours help PALS to learn the importance of giving back to the community and experience the joy of serving others.
PALS are dependable, honest, compassionate, brave, motivated, reliable, active listeners, trustworthy, enthusiastic, drug and alcohol free, and servant-leaders.

PLEASE NOTE! In addition to the recommendations that you request from your teachers, we also survey staff and faculty members throughout your middle school. Any adult at your middle school may provide us with feedback about your character, behavior, work ethic, leadership potential, attendance, and grades.
