Fifty-five Allen High School musicians were selected to play in one of the four Texas Music Educators (TMEA) Region 25 High School bands during recent auditions. Additionally, eight Allen students advanced to area auditions for a spot in one of the All-State Band Ensembles.
More than 2,000 students competed for 327 spots in the bands. Musicians from Community, Melissa, Princeton, Plano, Lovejoy, Wylie, Denison, and Sherman ISDs participated in the contest.
