The Allen Eagles boys wrestling program is back on top in Texas after winning the UIL 6A State Championship on February 15.

Allen looks to start a new streak of championships following last year’s silver medal finish that snapped a 14-year run of state titles. This year, Allen finished with 159 team points, one point better than second-place Arlington Martin. The Allen girls wrestling team earned a fifth-place finish at the state tournament held in Cypress.

In addition to the team title, a total of four boys and one girl won individual state championships:

  • Kailin Sebert - Girls State Champion, 126 lbs. class

  • Izayiah Chavez - Boys State Champion, 120 lbs. class

  • Cayden Rios - Boys State Champion, 144 lbs. class

  • Carter Nekvapil - Boys State Champion, 165 lbs. class

  • Aiden Cooley - Boys State Champion, 190 lbs. class

Grace Romans (114 lbs.) earned second place in her class, Cayden Campbell (113 lbs) earned second place in his class, and Jair Jackson-Bey (138 lbs.) earned third place in his class.

The boys team is coached by Jerry Best, and Coach Enrique Menendez leads the girls team. Congratulations to both the boys and girls wrestling programs!
