The Lowery Freshman Center Student Council, NJHS Chapter, and PALS have generously donated an AED kit to LFC. A big thank you for your gift to the campus!

Congratulations to Julie Kiel, and LFC robotics Team 15083 Overclock on competing in the UIL FTC State Championship and receiving First Runner Up, Robotics - First Division -FTC, 6A. Way to go, Eagles!

Congratulations to Freshman Madison Choi and the rest of the 2024 Varsity Girls Bowling on Winning State Champs. They are the 2024 district, regional, and now STATE champs! On Saturday, March 23, they competed at the 2024 Dick Atkinson State Championship Tournament at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth. They qualified as the #1 seed and went undefeated all through match play to become state champs. Congrats ladies!

Students from Allen High School recently competed at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Competition in Round Rock. Junior Avery Adams qualified for nationals in the Educators Rising Moment Competition, marking her third consecutive qualification but her first in this specific category. Junior Callie Reavis won the Gold Award in the Portfolio Contest, the highest recognition for that competition. Congratulations to these Allen High School students as they prepare for future careers in education.

The Allen High School swim program had several student-athletes qualify to compete at the UIL Swimming and Diving State Meet held Feb. 23-24 at UT-Austin. The Allen girls swim team earned 7th place overall at the meet, and Katelynn Zhou earned a silver medal in the 200 Yard Individual Medley. Congratulations to the swim program!

LFC is hosting Love Week from February 12th - 17th. All proceeds from Love Week will be donated to Heartworks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure for congenital heart disease (CHD).

The Silver Eagles were recently treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the Allen High School Theatre Department's production of Willy Wonka and a tour of the Performing Arts Center. Afterwards, they enjoyed a student-created lunch at the high school's Blú Bistro.

The Allen High School/Lowery Freshman Center PTA held its annual holiday cookie decorating competition for staff at the STEAM Center with a variety of unique and unusual designs vying for the judges’ favor. Jacob Hinkle won first place. Runners-up were Graham Gadd, Nathan Storts and Caitlyn Mullins. Enjoy these photos from the event.

Allen High School and Lowery Freshman Center students are invited to apply for The Congressional Youth Advisory Council (CYAC), a leadership opportunity for high school students in the 3rd Congressional District of Texas, to participate in an interactive learning experience and develop leadership skills. Participation in the CYAC offers students a unique opportunity to learn about the federal government, discuss public policy, and work with their federal representative while serving their community. Allen Police visited Allen ISD Summer Camp this week to teach proper bike safety and play Dodgeball with the students. So much fun!

Summer camp was a blast this week! From princess parties to Pokemon, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
