Four Allen HS Robotics Students Participate in Grant Acceptance Celebration for BEST of Texas Robotics Program

Four Allen High School students, who are part of the BEST Robotics Program at the STEAM Center, recently participated in a grant acceptance celebration of $659,100 from Texas Workforce Commission for the BEST of Texas Robotics Program.

Through this grant, BEST will focus on growth by providing more programs in schools throughout the state with an emphasis on rural schools who may previously have not had the opportunity due to cost limitations for the organization. These schools will receive robotics building materials, training and mentorship support, and the chance to compete in regional and state-wide competitions.

Allen High School students who participated in the grant celebration are Hanna Bartlett, Jordan Escebedo, Pranav Gattineni, and Aleyna Talamantez.

Hannah Bartlett, Allen HS senior, spoke at the press conference, where she talked about how BEST Robotics has help her with school, her career path and deciding her future.

The BEST of Texas Robotics and UIL 2023 Robotics Championship will be held November 30-December 2, 2023, in Dallas at the Fair Park Coliseum.
