Allen ISD and Allen High School administrators and staff recently welcomed 44 new students into the Class of 2025 of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program during an induction ceremony in the district’s Performing Arts Center.
The IB program is a global leader in international education, developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring students. The program is designed to empower students to take ownership of their education and develop future-ready skills to make a difference and succeed in a dynamic and competitive environment.
The group and their parents and guardians enjoyed a keynote speech by former IB student Christy Jacob and a musical performance by music teacher George Cornelius and student-pianist Evan Rushing. The students were congratulated by Superintendent Dr. Robin Bullock, and IB Head of School and Associate Principal Gwen Dilts.
