The Allen ISD STEAM Center recently opened its doors to volunteer members of BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology) Robotics organization to work on developing a new operating system for use during area robotics competitions. The BEST organization oversees robotics contests across the region. The current and retired engineers built and tested the new electronics to replace an outdated commercial system. After testing, the new controllers will be used during competitive meets, including the county and UIL state contests.
