Girls Wrestling Team Wins State

For the fourth year in a row, the Allen High School girls wrestling team captured the UIL State Championship! The Allen girls took home the gold medal by scoring 123 points in the state tournament - a school record - in February at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas. The next closest opponent was The Woodlands College Park who finished with 68 points.

Senior Jasmine Robinson capped her wrestling career at Allen with four individual state gold medals. She joins a rank of only 8 wrestlers in UIL history to win four individual state titles and is the 5th wrestler from Allen to hit this milestone. Jasmine finishes her senior season with a perfect 43-0 record.

Sophomore Grace Romans and freshman Kailin Sebert both won their first individual gold medals at the state competition. Senior Esther Peters earned a third-place finish at the meet.

The Allen Eagles boys team earned second place in state. The team's silver medal is an incredible achievement and is the first time in more than 14 years the boys have not won the state championship. The Eagles finished second to Arlington Martin by a razor-thin 5.5-point difference. Freshman Cayden Campbell brought home an individual gold medal, and the following student-athletes earned silver: senior Joseph Liescheski, junior Javin Jackson-Bey, and sophomore Aiden Cooley.
