Allen ISD is pleased to announce Monica Lemons has been named Principal of Reed Elementary School, and Renee Nelson will serve as the Principal at Norton Elementary School. Please join us in congratulating both Monica and Renee on their new roles!
Monica has just completed her 19th year in education, all of which have been with Allen ISD. Monica began her administrative career in 2017 as Assistant Principal at Preston Elementary School. In 2020, Monica was named Principal of Preston Elementary School where she has remained for the last four years. Prior to her administrative roles, Monica was a teacher at Marion Elementary School. She taught 5th and 6th grade, and also served as a Student Success Initiative teacher and Campus Intervention Specialist.
Renee has most recently served as the Assistant Principal of Norton Elementary School. Renee’s educational career spans over 11 years, nine of which have been in Allen ISD. Prior to her role as Assistant Principal, Renee served as a 6th grade teacher at Preston Elementary School and Cheatham Elementary School. In 2017-2018, Renee was named Teacher of the Year at Preston Elementary School and Allen ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Renee also served as a teacher for two years with Dallas ISD.
