Allen High School National Merit Finalists

Thirty-eight Allen High School students were recently named Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. These seniors now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered this spring.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the country, with over 1.3 million students entering each year. These 38 students have advanced to the Finalist stage, placing them among the top 1% of all entrants nationwide. Only 15,000 students across the country achieve this distinction, making them part of an elite group recognized for outstanding academic achievement.

The selection of some 6,870 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of more than 15,000 Finalists is now in progress, with winners being notified beginning in March.
