Allen ISD - Where Eagles Soar

FutureReadyFriday is a highlight of our seniors and their future plans. This highlight is about Avery Adams.

At Allen High School, Avery has been involved in cross country, track, Student Section Captains, TAFE, Best Buddies, DOLLS, and the Practicum of Education. Avery’s favorite memory was student teaching in a first and second grade classroom. The experience gave direct time with students and offered a view into the classroom setting.

Through the Practicum of Education, Avery gained skills in classroom management and learned how to connect with students. These experiences helped shape a clear direction for the future.

Avery plans to attend Abilene Christian University to major in elementary education. The foundation built through Allen High School’s programs has helped develop a strong interest in teaching and prepared Avery for the next step.

Avery encourages incoming students to get involved. Participation in a variety of activities helped build lasting connections and provided personal and academic growth.
