Members of Allen ISD’s Silver Eagles visited Allen High School for a behind-the-scenes look at the AHS Theatre Department’s production of “Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief.” The Silver Eagles watched rehearsals and learned about how the students assemble a musical for the stage. Performances of the production are set for Thursday – Saturday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in the Allen Performing Arts Center. Author and illustrator Don Tate visited Lindsey Elementary to share his journey from a kid who loved drawing to becoming an award-winning writer and artist. He demonstrated live illustrations and discussed his 80+ books, focusing on biographies of little-known historical figures.






Marion Elementary School students cheered their UIL teams with a parade in anticipation of the district-wide academic contests in Allen High School set for Saturday, Jan. 25. Go Mavericks!







The Allen ISD Leadership Academy recently toured the AISD Service Center, learning about the district's behind-the-scenes operations. They also visited Evans Elementary to explore the features and improvements of a fully renovated campus.

A team of Allen High School Students was recently honored by Rep. Keith Self for winning second place in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge. Team members are Varun Hittuvalli, Aayan Ali, Nikhil Saravana, and Saketh Sripada.
The contest encourages students in each congressional district to foster an appreciation for computer science and STEM by designing and submitting original apps. The AHS team’s app, Civic Compass, provides personalized voting and election information by using location data for details about candidates, voting, and other election information.
Congress members publicly recognize winning teams, and each winning app may be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. A Frisco Centennial High School team won the challenge for Rep. Self’s district.

The Ford Middle School orchestra recently hosted a special holiday concert and breakfast for Ford teachers and staff. What a lovely opportunity to hear holiday tunes and grab a bite to eat before class. Way to go, Ford Mustangs!









Silver Eagles and district employees enjoyed basketball action with special Eagles Nest seats and dinner provided by Allen ISD's Heart@Work initiative at the Allen High School Competition Gymnasium when the varsity girls and boys teams played the Princeton Panthers. The girls' team also honored their teachers before the game for Teacher Appreciation Night. The boys topped the Panthers, 97-55, while the girls came up short, 58-47.








Members of the Eagles Creations program recently visited the Allen ISD administration building to sell hand-crafted projects for the holiday season. The program assists special needs adults with life skills and productive activities. See more at https://trst.in/6VZ938






Boon Elementary students enjoyed an energetic – and healthy – Turkey Trot on November 21 as the Boon Dad’s group and members of the Boon Watch D.O.G.S. joined with members of the Boon PTA to create an obstacle course. Students from all grades participated during the event.







During its annual Alamo Day, Curtis Middle School seventh graders learned about the Battle of the Alamo and the Texas Revolution. Teachers recreated roles of historical Texas figures and related stories about the event as part of the middle school’s Texas History curriculum.
